Rail travelers planning journeys between Nice and Monaco this coming weekend will need to seek alternative transportation due to a complete suspension of train services. The halt, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, is part of ongoing modernization efforts by SNCF Réseau aimed at enhancing the railway infrastructure in the Alpes-Maritimes region. Services on the Nice-to-Monaco route will be completely unavailable all day Saturday, with a partial resumption starting at 9:30 AM on Sunday, December 1.
During this period, train operations between Monaco and Ventimiglia will also be affected, though one train per hour will still run according to an adjusted timetable. This disruption is part of a broader initiative by SNCF Réseau to upgrade the Nice Ville station and improve the overall regional railway network, which is expected to continue with night works slated until June 2025.
Travelers affected by the weekend service suspension can use ZOU bus lines 600 and 601, which are being recommended by SNCF as viable alternatives. For the most current information and updates on rail schedules, passengers are advised to visit the SNCF website or use their mobile app.
