Prince Albert II Inaugurates MonacoPhil at New One Monte-Carlo Venue

MonacoPhil, the distinguished international philatelic exhibition, has been ceremoniously opened by HSH Prince Albert II at the new and prestigious venue of One Monte-Carlo, located above the famed Casino Square. This relocation from the traditional Léo-Ferré space to One Monte-Carlo offers a revitalized backdrop for this significant event, which is a highlight of Monaco’s cultural agenda. The exhibition, running from December 5 to 7, is split between One Monte-Carlo and the Museum of Stamps and Coins, where attendees can admire rare philatelic pieces, including contributions from the collections of King Charles III and Prince Albert II.

This year’s showcase is particularly notable for its thematic exploration of the postal history of the Far East, alongside an array of approximately fifty international exhibitors presenting a diverse range of stamps. Philately enthusiasts will relish the opportunity to view and acquire unique collectibles, and also participate in free lectures delivered by leading experts in the field. Adding to the event’s allure are exclusive sessions where visitors can interact with the artists responsible for designing and engraving Monaco’s latest stamps, complemented by live engraving demonstrations.

Further enhancing the MonacoPhil experience, the Monaco Stamp Office is unveiling two early stamps from its 2025 program and three limited-edition products, exclusively available at the event. Admission to this prestigious exhibition is free, offering a unique opportunity for both seasoned collectors and newcomers to delve into the rich world of stamps and postal history right in the heart of Monaco.
