Recognized as "an emblematic figure in Monegasque history," Prince Albert highlighted Rey's significant impact across the Principality’s landscape, celebrating his legacy of leadership and dedication.

Henry Rey's extensive career included presiding over the Monegasque Olympic Committee from 1975 to 1994, a period marked by Monaco's inaugural participation in the Winter Olympics and the hosting of the Games of the Small States of Europe’s second edition. His tenure is remembered for its pivotal role in elevating local and international sports, with the Olympic Committee commemorating him as a visionary with an enduring influence. Rey also led AS Monaco FC and other major sports institutions like the Monte-Carlo Golf Club and the Monaco Weightlifting Federation, significantly shaping Monaco’s sports culture.
