The Principality of Monaco is set to host the 47th edition of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival from January 17 to January 26, 2025. Coming off the heels of a grand 50th-anniversary celebration for the 46th edition, which was initiated by Prince Rainier III, the festival continues to be a pinnacle of circus arts, attracting global talent to its stages. This year, the event will feature an array of acts from around the world, enhancing its reputation as a premier gathering in the international circus community.
Among the highlights of this year's festival are performances that push the boundaries of traditional circus arts. Over 40 animals will take part in one of the grandest animal acts ever staged, while Chinese bicycle acrobats will introduce a groundbreaking act never before seen in the circus arena. Additionally, a renowned Chilean clown is set to deliver uproarious entertainment, ensuring that the festival offers a blend of awe and laughter.
The program also includes an exquisite equestrian show by Turkmenistan’s Akhal-Teke horses, known for their agility and grace, and daring aerial stunts by Mexican trapeze artists, including a rare quadruple somersault. Alongside these acts, 20 more performances will unfold, featuring both emerging talents from the New Generation competition and established professionals. Tickets for this spectacular showcase of circus tradition and innovation are available at the Fontvieille Chapiteau ticket office and online, promising audiences an unforgettable experience.
