MonacoTech, the premier startup incubator in the Principality, co-founded by the Monegasque State and entrepreneur Xavier Niel, is currently vetting its latest cohort of innovative enterprises. Since its inception in 2017, the incubator has fostered over 50 startups, now supporting 21 firms that have collectively generated 120 jobs, with half of these positions located within Monaco itself. This year's call for projects drew 65 applicants, underscoring the incubator's pivotal role in nurturing business innovation.
In the final selection round, six promising startups are set to present their ventures to a distinguished jury comprising representatives from Monaco, a National Council member, and external experts. The jury’s focus is on selecting projects that provide practical tech-based solutions aimed at enhancing everyday life, with a strong emphasis on applications that maintain a tangible link to Monaco. This initiative highlights the Principality’s commitment to advancing technologies that offer local and global benefits.
The chosen startups will gain access to MonacoTech’s extensive resources, including an 800-square-meter facility located in Fontvieille. They will receive mentorship, strategic guidance, and opportunities for funding, bolstering their potential for success. With decisions to be announced shortly, the successful candidates will commence their incubation period in March, further establishing MonacoTech as a critical hub for entrepreneurial innovation and sustainability, especially in key sectors like blue tech, green tech, and deep tech.
