Monaco Yacht Club Celebrates Maritime Excellence at Annual Awards Ceremony

The Yacht Club de Monaco recently celebrated outstanding maritime achievements during its prestigious YCM Awards - UBS Trophy ceremony, an event graced by the presence of HSH Prince Albert II. Held on the evening of Wednesday, December 18, the gala honored both seasoned sailors and emerging talents within the club's ranks. The highlight of the night was the awarding of the YCM Sailor of the Year to British sailor Graeme Peterson, recognized for his exceptional performance as the World ClubSwan50 Vice-Champion.
The ceremony also spotlighted the future of sailing with young Océane Schroeder being lauded for her triumph in the girls’ division of the International Spring Cup in La Rochelle. Her aspirations reflect the club's commitment to nurturing promising talent across all levels of competitive sailing. Further accolades were given to notable members such as HRH Prince Charles de Bourbon des Deux Siciles and Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio, for their victories in the Smeralda 888 International Championship and the Monegasque J/70 Championship, respectively.
