Monaco to Host Screening of Caterina Caselli Docu-Film Under High Patronage

The Principality of Monaco is set to host a special screening of the documentary ‘Caterina Caselli – Una vita, cento vite’ at the Théâtre Princesse Grace. This event, organized by the Dante Alighieri Association of Monaco under the High Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover and patronage of the Italian Embassy, will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 7 pm. The film, directed by Renato De Maria and produced by Sugar Play in collaboration with Rai Cinema in 2021, delves into the life and career of Caterina Caselli, an influential figure in Italian music known for hits like ‘Nessuno mi può giudicare’.

Italian music has long resonated within the cultural fabric of Monaco, underscoring the deep historical and cultural connections between Monaco and Italy. From operatic performances to modern tunes, Italian melodies frequently grace the stages of Monegasque venues, fostering a rich, ongoing artistic exchange that continues to enhance the local cultural landscape.

Prior to the film’s showing, journalist Daniele Doglio will host a live discussion with Caterina Caselli, offering attendees a unique insight into the life and legacy of this storied artist. This evening promises to be an enriching experience, celebrating not only Caselli’s vast contributions to music but also the enduring cultural bridge between Monaco and Italy.
