Monaco Strengthens International Relations with New Ambassadors from Serbia, Nepal, and Burundi

On Friday, October 25, Monaco's diplomatic landscape was enriched as Government Counsellor-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Isabelle Berro-Amadei, hosted a luncheon at the Hotel Hermitage to welcome three newly accredited ambassadors. The distinguished envoys—Her Excellency Ana Hrustanovic of Serbia, His Excellency Sudhir Bhattarai of Nepal, and His Excellency Isaïe Kubwayo of Burundi—had earlier presented their credentials to His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, marking the official commencement of their ambassadorial duties in the Principality.

Ambassador Ana Hrustanovic of Serbia arrives in Monaco with a rich background combining journalism and governmental roles, notably in Serbia and Montenegro's Ministry of Defence and later as Ambassador to the European Union. Her most recent assignment was as Serbia's Ambassador to France before being concurrently accredited to Monaco. Similarly, Ambassador Sudhir Bhattarai from Nepal brings extensive diplomatic experience and a solid academic foundation in physics, having represented Nepal in various capacities across the globe, including at the United Nations in New York and most recently as Ambassador to France, Andorra, and UNESCO.

Completing the trio, Ambassador Isaïe Kubwayo of Burundi has transitioned from academia to significant diplomatic roles, including advisory positions at the University of Burundi and various diplomatic posts in Paris and Morocco. His latest responsibilities encompass ambassadorial duties for France, Portugal, Spain, and Monaco. The accreditation of these ambassadors underscores Monaco's ongoing commitment to strengthening its international relations and expanding its diplomatic engagement with these nations.
