In a festive transformation, the Cour d’Honneur at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco became a winter wonderland this Wednesday, hosting the annual Christmas ceremony for nearly 700 local children. The event, a cherished tradition, was graced by the presence of Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, along with Hereditary Prince Jacques, Princess Gabriella, Princess Stéphanie, and Camille Gottlieb, who personally distributed gifts, spreading joy among the young attendees.
The palace grounds, usually the backdrop for the solemn National Day celebrations, were adorned with twinkling fir trees and vibrant decorations, exuding a warm, celebratory atmosphere. A quartet of magicians and dancing artists provided entertainment, ensuring a lively and enchanting experience for all families present. The ambiance was far removed from its usual formality, instead embracing a playful and inviting holiday spirit.
Inside the palace, the Cour d’Honneur was decked out like a grand toy store, filled with gifts selected to cater to various ages and interests. From magician kits and Playmobil sets to remote-controlled cars and character costumes, the princely family made sure each child received a thoughtful gift, enhancing the festive mood. This event not only underscores the princely family's commitment to community spirit but also marks a season of joy and giving for Monaco's children, reinforcing the bond between the Sovereign and his people.
