Monaco's Prince's Carabiniers Host Alpes-Maritimes Cadets for Training Day

This Saturday, Monaco's esteemed Carabiniers of the Prince hosted an enlightening day for thirty cadets from the neighboring Alpes-Maritimes Gendarmerie, aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of their distinguished duties and responsibilities. The cadets were introduced to the advanced operational capabilities and the strategic security measures implemented by the Carabiniers to safeguard the Principality. Their learning journey continued with a visit to the Musée des Princes et de Leurs Gardes, where they explored the rich history and evolution of this prestigious unit.

The program included a series of discussions on pivotal issues such as environmental protection and economic security, with a special focus on marine conservation. These talks, featuring insights from the Office Central de Lutte contre les Atteintes à l’Environnement et à la Santé Publique (OCLAESP) and local economic security experts, underscored the Gendarmerie's integral role in these fields. The discussions were particularly timely, anticipating the themes of the upcoming UN Ocean Conference (UNOC 2025) in Nice, which will concentrate on the conservation of oceans and sustainable utilization of marine resources.

The day concluded with a visit to Monaco’s renowned Oceanographic Museum, where the cadets gained valuable knowledge about the critical challenges facing marine preservation and the importance of proactive oceanic ecosystem protection.
