Monaco's Fontvieille District to Host New Multi-Activity Leisure Hub

Monaco's Fontvieille district is set to enhance its recreational offerings with the introduction of a new 5,000 square meter entertainment complex, promising a rich mix of activities such as e-karting, bowling, and an arcade. This development, previously housing HSH Prince Albert II’s Car Collection before its relocation to Port Hercule last year, aims to revitalize local leisure options and attract both residents and visitors from the Côte d’Azur.

The initiative, unveiled by Monaco’s Minister of State, Didier Guillaume, during a public session on the 2025 preliminary budget, is led by a respected Monegasque entrepreneur. Following endorsements from the Commission for the Allocation of State Premises, construction is slated to begin shortly, with an anticipated opening in March 2025. This project comes as a response to public and governmental calls for more diverse entertainment facilities within the Principality, following recent closures of popular venues like the Ni-Box center and an indoor karting track.

However, the longevity of this new entertainment hub could be limited, as it coincides with planned redevelopment of the nearby Fontvieille shopping center. Decisions regarding this extensive refurbishment are expected by the summer of 2025, which could influence the future of the leisure complex. The community eagerly awaits these developments, hoping for a boost in local entertainment and economic activity.
