Last evening in Paris, the annual New Year’s Ceremony for the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Monaco gathered over a hundred ambassadors and dignitaries to deliberate on the Principality’s international objectives for 2025. The event, held in the prestigious 16th arrondissement, was presided over by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, who is also the Acting Minister of State. The ceremony highlighted Monaco’s dedication to enhancing its global diplomatic relationships.
During the event, Berro-Amadeï stressed the importance of strengthening ties with Monaco’s 161 diplomatic partners. “The Principality is deeply committed to nurturing bonds of friendship and addressing shared global challenges,” she stated, acknowledging the diplomats' ongoing cooperation. Notable attendees included Monaco’s Ambassador to France, Christophe Robino, alongside representatives from various embassies primarily based in Paris. The gathering provided an excellent platform for ambassadors to reflect on the unique relationship between Monaco and their respective countries, emphasizing the Principality’s role in environmental advocacy and cultural exchanges.
Berro-Amadeï also outlined Monaco’s pivotal moments anticipated in 2025, reiterating the government’s commitment to peace and global solidarity. This sentiment was echoed by many diplomats at the ceremony, who expressed their optimism for a year marked by unity and progress. The event underscored Monaco's role as a small yet significant actor on the international stage, setting a collaborative tone for the upcoming year.
