Monaco has taken a significant step forward in advancing its digital security and administrative efficiency. The Direction du Développement Économique (DDE) has been certified as a Prestataire de Services de Confiance (PSCo) by the Agence Monégasque de Sécurité Numérique (AMSN). This accreditation enables the DDE to provide qualified electronic signatures and seals, aligning with the highest international security standards and offering cutting-edge digital authentication tools to local businesses.
This development is particularly beneficial for entities registered with the Répertoire du Commerce et de l’Industrie (RCI). They can now use these electronic signatures or stamps to authenticate official documents such as contracts, financial statements, and legal paperwork with the same legal standing as their physical counterparts. This capability not only helps in protecting against fraud but also simplifies administrative operations, supporting Monaco’s goal to establish itself as a premier digital hub.
The certification is a key part of Monaco’s overarching digital transformation strategy, encapsulated in Law No. 1.482, aimed at fostering a Digital Monaco. This strategy seeks to modernize services while ensuring superior cybersecurity. The move towards trusted electronic signatures is anticipated to enhance operational efficiencies, diminish reliance on physical paperwork, and elevate trust in digital transactions.
