Her Excellency Valérie Bruell-Melchior, the Ambassador of Monaco, recently presented her credentials to His Excellency Joan-Enric Vives i Sicilia, the Episcopal Co-Prince of Andorra, in a ceremonious event held at the Episcopal Palace in La Seu d’Urgell. The ceremony, attended by key diplomatic figures including Andorra’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Imma Tor Faus, and the Co-Prince's Personal Representative, Josep Maria Mauri Prior, underscored the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two microstates.
During the formalities, Ambassador Bruell-Melchior also had a private discussion with the Episcopal Co-Prince. In this meeting, Vives conveyed personal regards to Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco, expressing warm wishes to the princely family, including Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. This exchange reaffirmed the cordial relations that have long existed between Monaco and Andorra.
This diplomatic interaction not only highlighted the robust ties rooted in mutual respect and shared values between Monaco and Andorra but also reinforced the commitment to further enhance bilateral relations. The meeting built upon the foundations laid by the General Cooperation Memorandum signed in 2022, promising continued collaboration and friendship between the two nations.
