Monaco Prepares for Sainte Dévote Celebrations with Enhanced Security Measures

Monaco is gearing up for the annual celebration of Sainte Dévote, the Principality's patron saint, with festivities scheduled for Sunday, January 26. The event, a cornerstone of Monaco's cultural heritage, will feature religious ceremonies and the traditional burning of a boat, symbolizing the saint's historical arrival by sea. To facilitate the event, comprehensive safety measures including security checkpoints will be in place from 17:30 at key locations like Place Sainte Dévote and Quai Albert Ier.

Traffic flow and public transport in Monaco will be affected during the festivities. Notably, Piscine Road will be closed from 18:15 to 19:00, and temporary halts are expected along major boulevards to accommodate the procession between 18:45 and 19:45. Disruptions may also occur on urban bus routes 1, 2, 3, and 6, as well as intercity lines ZOU! 600 and 80. Attendees are advised to stay informed about parking and route changes through updates provided at public parking entrances.
