As Monaco prepares to celebrate Fête Nationale 2024 on November 19, the city is already awash in a vibrant display of its traditional red and white colors. Since November 4, the Services Techniques Communaux team has been diligently decorating various parts of the Principality, ensuring that the national pride is visibly reflected throughout. The decorations, which include around 600 oriflammes, 550 flags, and 90 banners, will adorn the cityscape until December 10, enhancing the festive ambiance.
This year, new areas such as Boulevard de Belgique, the roundabout near Parc Princesse Antoinette, the city’s entrance opposite Monte-Carlo Bay, Allée Lazare Sauvaigo, and Promenade Honoré II have also been included in the beautification effort. The installation teams work both day and night, with the latter handling more complex arrangements via elevated platforms, to ensure that every neighborhood participates in the grandeur of the upcoming national day.
The Mairie de Monaco encourages residents to join in the celebrations by adorning their homes with the Monegasque flag, respectfully placing the red above the white on vertical displays, and ensuring red is on the left for banners and oriflammes when viewed from outside. This collective effort not only enhances the communal spirit but also pays homage to the Principality’s heritage and the Princely Family.
