Monaco is set to host the third edition of the Monaco pour l’Emploi job fair on the upcoming Monday at the Grimaldi Forum, with expectations running high following the registration of over 3,800 attendees, a significant increase from the previous year. This event, pivotal for networking and recruitment within the Principality, will also see the signing of a crucial agreement aimed at alleviating housing challenges for seasonal workers. The pact, involving Monaco’s Association of Hotel Industries (AIHM), the government, and CROUS, a French student housing body, promises to provide seasonal workers with access to university residencies in Nice during the peak months from April to September.
The job market in Monaco continues to exhibit robust growth with a 3.8 percent increase in employment in 2024, pushing the workforce numbers over 60,000. The fair will particularly highlight the luxury and yachting sectors, both of which are substantial employment drivers in the region. Representatives from the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Monaco Yacht Show will be in attendance, scouting for skilled professionals to bolster the yachting industry's ongoing expansion.
The event will not only focus on immediate employment but also showcase Monaco's strides in digital transformation. A new online job portal, YourMonaco, will be launched, offering enhanced digital services and streamlined access to various career resources. Additionally, a QR code system will be introduced to facilitate navigation at the fair. The impact of Monaco pour l’Emploi extends beyond the event, with many attendees historically securing job placements in subsequent months, underscoring the fair's effectiveness in fostering significant career opportunities in the Principality.
