Monaco’s Post Office has unveiled a cutting-edge goods reception center at the Salines car park, designed to enhance parcel deliveries and reduce city center congestion. Located on Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, the center is a hub of efficiency and environmental consciousness, fully operated by electric vehicles. Capable of processing up to 2,500 parcels daily with the support of 14 dedicated delivery drivers, the facility promises to streamline logistics and diminish traffic in Monaco's bustling streets, emphasizing a "win-win-win" scenario for delivery operators, La Poste de Monaco, and the city's urban landscape.
Starting from December 15, the new center will offer residents and businesses the convenience of picking up and sending parcels through facilities equipped with lockers and staffed counters, operational daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to improve service efficiency and environmental sustainability, as highlighted by a representative from La Poste, who noted the critical need for such services in enhancing daily operations while promoting ecological responsibility.
Looking ahead, the Post Office plans to further consolidate its operations with the launch of a centralized sorting hub at Pasteur Island in April 2025. This ambitious project aims to unify all postal services, thereby optimizing functionality and improving the overall postal service experience in Monaco, setting a new standard in modern, eco-friendly logistics tailored to meet the needs of the Principality with a steadfast commitment to excellence.
