Monaco observed a solemn minute of silence at 11:00 AM today in memory of the late Minister of State, Didier Guillaume. The principal ceremony took place at the Ministry of State's forecourt, attended by government officials, while a parallel tribute was held at the Palace Square by the Prince’s Carabiniers.
In a simultaneous homage, Mayor Georges Marsan, together with members of the Municipal Council and Secretary General Isabelle Costa, led a ceremony at the Monaco Town Hall. Municipal employees across various sites joined in honoring the significant contributions of Guillaume to the principality.
The Chapelle de la Miséricorde, situated in Place de la Mairie, has been set up as a chapel of rest for the public to pay their last respects to Guillaume. This arrangement provides an opportunity for residents and visitors to reflect on his dedicated service to Monaco.
