Monaco's Minister of State, Didier Guillaume, is set to temporarily vacate his position as he undergoes necessary medical treatment, the Palace confirmed on Friday. The forthcoming hospitalization of Guillaume has prompted the need for an interim adjustment in the principality's administrative leadership.
In response, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II has designated Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, currently the Government Counsellor-Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, to fulfill the role of Acting Minister of State. Commencing her duties on January 10, 2025, Berro-Amadeï will manage the responsibilities of the Minister of State while continuing her work in her original department.
The choice of Berro-Amadeï, noted for her seasoned expertise in government, diplomacy, and the judiciary, underscores a strong confidence in her capacity to maintain the principality's affairs seamlessly during this period. Alongside this administrative shift, Prince Albert II extends his sincere wishes for Minister Guillaume’s quick and complete recovery.
