Monaco Marks AS Monaco's Centenary with Glamorous Gala at Hôtel Hermitage

Monaco marked a significant milestone as AS Monaco Football Club celebrated its centennial with a grand gala dinner at the Hôtel Hermitage on Saturday, October 26. The event, attended by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and AS Monaco President Dmitri Rybolovlev among other dignitaries, was the highlight of a series of celebrations commemorating the club's 100 years. The Belle Epoque ballroom hosted around 80 esteemed guests, including political leaders, former players, and sports figures, who gathered to honor the club’s historic journey and its optimistic start to the season.

The evening was a tribute to the club’s storied past, with legendary players like Jean-Luc Ettori, Claude Puel, and Dimitar Berbatov sharing memorable moments from their time at AS Monaco. The event also featured an exclusive display of club memorabilia, including vintage jerseys and iconic photographs that illustrated the club’s rich history. The culinary experience was enhanced by a Michelin-starred menu prepared by Chef Yannick Alléno, and the ambiance was further elevated by a piano performance from Stella Almondo. A highlight of the evening was a club history quiz, won by Prince Albert, who received a unique piece of art created on-site by artist Django.

The night concluded with the cutting of a celebratory cake adorned in the club’s colors, symbolizing the close of a memorable evening dedicated to AS Monaco’s century-long legacy. In addition to the festivities, the club released a commemorative book detailing its storied past and a limited-edition centennial jersey, which quickly sold out, underscoring the enduring passion and support for AS Monaco within the community.
