The Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence, held at the Grand Palais in Paris on February 10th and 11th, saw significant participation from Monaco, highlighting its proactive role in the global dialogue on artificial intelligence. The event convened over 1,500 attendees, including prominent international figures and industry leaders, to foster discussions on making AI more accessible, ethical, and subject to international cooperation.
Monaco’s delegation, led by Ambassador Valérie Bruell-Melchior and Frédéric Genta, the Interministerial Delegate for Digital Transition and Attractiveness, emphasized the Principality's dedication to integrating AI within key sectors such as health, education, finance, and economic development. The summit concluded with Monaco signing a joint declaration with 58 other countries, affirming a collective commitment to an ethical AI framework.
A standout moment for Monaco was the presentation of its pioneering efforts in establishing Europe's first sovereign cloud, a milestone that garnered considerable interest among summit participants. This achievement, along with active discussions on AI's implications for geopolitics and international relations, underscored Monaco’s emerging status as a leader in the ethical and innovative application of digital technology.
