Monaco Introduces Teqball Tables in Collaboration With Local Authorities

This winter, Monaco introduces an exciting opportunity for both residents and visitors to engage in Teqball, an innovative sport that merges the skills of football and table tennis. In partnership with the Teqball Association of Monaco and the Town Hall, special Teqball tables have been set up near the nautical stadium, welcoming everyone to explore this burgeoning sport. Since its inception in 2015, Teqball has swiftly ascended in popularity, mirroring the rapid rise of sports like padel, with its own professional tournaments and World Cups now established.

The sport has even captivated local athletes, including former AS Monaco goalkeeper Julien Grondin, who has transitioned from football to become one of the top Teqball players globally. Grondin praises Teqball for its non-contact nature and the camaraderie it fosters among participants, highlighting its blend of friendly yet intense competition. The game is played either in singles or doubles format, where players have up to three touches to return the ball, aiming to be the first to reach 12 points.

Monaco's residents have until January 5 to experience Teqball firsthand, with demonstrations and expert guidance available. This initiative offers a unique blend of strategy, physical skill, and enjoyment, conveniently located at the heart of Monaco, inviting all age groups to participate in this fast-growing sport.
