The first Government Council meeting of 2025 occurred today, notably without Minister of State Didier Guillaume, who is currently on medical leave. The Acting Minister conveyed the government's collective wishes for Mr. Guillaume's swift recovery and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead during this interim period. She pledged to maintain the stability and functionality of Monaco's institutions.
In her address, the Acting Minister emphasized that government officials remain diligent in their respective roles, focusing on critical areas including security, public health, housing, fiscal management, and infrastructural developments. She reassured that the Principality's commitment to international standards would persist, specifically referencing ongoing compliance with FATF and GRECO recommendations, which align with both public and private sector efforts within Monaco.
Concluding her remarks, she affirmed that the government's work would not stall during this transition, but would instead ensure the continuity of executing the policies set forth by the Sovereign. The council meeting proceeded with full attendance from all government members, each dedicated to advancing Monaco's national interests.
