On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) highlighted the promising business prospects in Japan during a briefing led by H.E. Mr Didier Gamerdinger, Monaco’s Ambassador to Japan and India. With an emphasis on the robust stability, growth, and the blend of modernity with tradition that characterizes the Japanese market, Gamerdinger encouraged Monegasque investors to seize timely opportunities. Nicolas Bonnardel, Director of the France Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, described Japan as an "island of peace," ideal for investment due to its culture of excellence and strong local demand across various sectors including technology, luxury, and sustainable development.
The briefing also covered the upcoming MEB economic mission scheduled from June 26 to July 3, 2025, which aligns with the Osaka World Expo. Monaco Day, set for June 28, will see a high-level Monegasque delegation participate in the Expo, spotlighting Monaco’s dedication to innovation and sustainable practices through the theme 'Take care of wonder' at the Monaco Pavilion. This participation is expected to forge stronger international business relations and showcase Monegasque innovation on a global stage.
This mission is poised to be a pivotal moment for Monegasque enterprises looking to expand or reinforce their presence in the Japanese market. By facilitating tailored networking opportunities crafted by Bonnardel and the CCI France Japan, the event aims to enhance Monaco's profile in Asia, attract investments, and promote the principality’s expertise in luxury and high-quality services at a renowned global event.
