The 13th Monaco Eco Club Trophies, a hallmark event recognizing the Principality's entrepreneurial innovation and sustainability, was held on November 25th. This prestigious gathering, organized by Nice-Matin and the Monaco Economic Board, acknowledged the exceptional contributions of Monegasque businesses and leaders to the local economy. Among the recipients, Françoise Puzena, Director of BNP Paribas Monte Carlo, was celebrated as Manager of the Year, lauded for her people-first leadership approach and her role in steering a team of 200 towards client-centric excellence.
In a significant nod to environmental stewardship, the Sustainable Development Trophy was awarded to Eric Humilier, Director of the Monegasque Construction Company. Humilier has notably reduced the company’s carbon emissions by 60% through the adoption of biofuels and innovative use of industrial by-products in construction processes. His efforts underscore a shift towards greener construction practices within Monaco, aiming to significantly cut cement use and increase the sustainability of building materials.
The ceremony, which has recognized nearly 90 enterprises since 2012, not only underscores the dynamic and resilient spirit of Monaco's economic landscape but also aligns with the Principality's strategic focus on sustainable growth and innovation. Minister of State Didier Guillaume highlighted the event as a testament to the enduring vigor and diversity of Monaco's SMEs, reflecting the community's collective drive towards progressive economic and environmental milestones.
