Monaco Delegation Attends Auschwitz Liberation 80th Anniversary Commemorations

A delegation from Monaco, led by interim Minister of State Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, is currently in Auschwitz to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp. This significant event underlines Monaco's commitment to remembering the Holocaust and promoting the values of tolerance and peace. The presence of the Monegasque delegation at this solemn commemoration highlights the importance the Principality places on the preservation of collective memory and the promotion of universal human rights.

During the event, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï took to social media to express her honor in representing Monaco, emphasizing the nation's dedication to remembering and never forgetting the atrocities of the past. This act of remembrance serves to reaffirm the Princely Government’s resolve in fighting against forgetting and ensuring the transmission of this dark chapter in history to future generations.

The delegation comprises diverse figures, including Monaco’s Ambassador to Poland, Lorenzo Ravano, First Secretary Jean-Laurent Imbert, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Warsaw, Tomasz Wardynski, President of the Commission for Assistance to Victims of Spoliation, Jacques Wolzok, and Aaron Frenkel, President of the Jewish Cultural Center of Monaco.
