This December, the prestigious Monaco Dance Forum, hosted by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, will once again illuminate the principality with a stellar array of performances from international dance troupes and eminent choreographers. Scheduled from December 11 to December 18 at notable venues like the Grimaldi Forum and Théâtre des Variétés, the event promises a rich tapestry of dance styles, from the elegance of classical ballet to the bold dynamics of contemporary pieces.
The festival will commence with Belgium’s Peeping Tom Company presenting "Diptych" on December 11, exploring profound themes of memory and illusion through its innovative choreography. This will be followed by a performance from the legendary flamenco dancer, Israel Galván, on December 12, who will pay homage to the golden era of flamenco with his emotionally charged "La Edad de Oro."
The program will feature a diverse range of acts including the Staatsballet Wiesbaden’s collaboration with Ohad Naharin on December 13 for "Last Work," a riveting piece featuring a solitary dancer amidst a backdrop of chaos. Concluding the week, Jo Strømgren Kompani from Norway will present "Made in Oslo" on December 18, a contemporary triptych that delves into the complexities of modern life. The Monaco Dance Forum is set to be an enriching cultural showcase, with further details and ticketing options available on the official Monaco Dance Forum website.
