At Monaco’s Town Hall, traders from the Condamine Market Hall convened on Tuesday, October 8, to discuss the market's major renovation scheduled for 2026. Mayor Georges Marsan, alongside Deputy Mayor Marjorie Crovetto and other municipal authorities, outlined the renovation plans, which aim to transform the market into a state-of-the-art facility by February 2027. Mayor Marsan described the renovation as a "flagship initiative" and called for collaborative input, marking a shift towards more inclusive planning compared to previous updates.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the technical enhancements and architectural upgrades planned for the market. To minimize disruption, market cabins will be temporarily relocated, ensuring that business operations can continue smoothly throughout the construction period. The attendees had the opportunity to engage directly with the officials, asking questions and providing feedback through dedicated questionnaires.
In the next stages of the redevelopment process, individual traders will have personalized meetings with officials to address specific concerns and facilitate an effective transition. The administration also plans to introduce a customer feedback form to gather broader public opinion on the future direction of the market, reinforcing the community-focused approach to the redevelopment.
