Monaco City Hall is extending a unique invitation to its young residents to engage in the 2025 Congress of Local and Regional Authorities. This initiative is part of the Council of Europe's "Rejuvenating Politics" program aimed at promoting youth participation in political dialogue. Interested individuals between the ages of 18 to 30, who are either Monegasque nationals or residents of the Principality, are eligible to apply. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the 48th and 49th sessions of the Congress in Strasbourg, scheduled for March 25–27 and October 28–30, 2025, respectively.
Selected delegates will be integrated directly into debates and will collaborate closely with elected members of the Municipal Council. This platform not only allows them to contribute to discussions but also to initiate local projects under the guidance of the Congress. To apply, candidates must possess a passport from one of the 46 Council of Europe member states, demonstrate a keen interest in civic engagement, and have proficiency in English. The application requires filling out an online form and submitting a 30-second video detailing their motivations and aspirations.
The deadline for submissions is set for December 31, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Comprehensive details about the program, including its objectives, the selection process, and application instructions, are available on the official Monaco City Hall website. This initiative reflects Monaco's dedication to empowering its younger generation and fostering intergenerational discussions to tackle essential political and social challenges.
