Monaco Awaits the 93rd Rallye Monte-Carlo with Star-Studded 2025 Lineup

With the 93rd Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo fast approaching, the official list of participants for this prestigious inaugural event of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship has been unveiled. Reigning World Champions Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe, victors of the 2024 rally, are set to compete under the number 1 for the first time, marking a significant shift from their usual number 11. This year’s edition promises intense competition with a lineup that includes 10 top-tier Rally1 cars fielded by leading teams such as Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford M-Sport.
Local hero Sebastien Ogier, together with co-driver Vincent Landais in a Toyota GR Yaris, is among the favourites, aiming for an unprecedented 10th victory in Monte Carlo. The competition also sees the return of former champions including Kalle Rovanpera and Jonne Halttunen, signaling a season full of high-calibre rallying. Additionally, the WRC2 category will feature notable competitors like Oliver Solberg and Nikolay Gryazin, ensuring the rally remains as competitive in the junior ranks.
The event not only kicks off the 2025 WRC season but also sets a new record with 92 initial registrations, culminating in 70 confirmed entries. The diverse field spans various categories, including 39 Rally2 vehicles and 13 Rally3 vehicles, reflecting a broad spectrum of talent and machinery. The Rallye Monte-Carlo is set to deliver a thrilling narrative, continuing its rich legacy in the motorsport world.
