Louis Vuitton Enters Formula 1 with Ten-Year Partnership, Debuts in Melbourne

Louis Vuitton is set to bring its renowned luxury and craftsmanship to the Formula 1 circuits, having inked a ten-year partnership with the world's premier motorsport series. This collaboration, marrying high fashion with high-octane racing, will be launched at the season's opening Grand Prix in Melbourne on March 16, under the banner “Victory travels in Louis Vuitton.” As part of this alliance, the French fashion giant will craft bespoke trophy trunks for selected Grand Prix events, showcasing its legacy in creating prestigious cases for the globe's most celebrated sports trophies.

The partnership was hailed by Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali, who noted that Louis Vuitton's ethos of craftsmanship and prestige mirrors the sport’s global allure and its continuous quest for excellence. "As we mark 75 years of the championship, Louis Vuitton stands out as a fitting partner to highlight the celebratory occasions with their exquisite trophy trunks," Domenicali stated, emphasizing the synergy between the two iconic brands.

This venture is not Louis Vuitton’s first foray into the automotive realm; the brand has historical ties dating back to 1897 when Georges Vuitton designed bespoke luggage for early automobiles. The fashion house also has a direct link to Formula 1, having crafted a special trophy trunk for the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix, awarded to driver Max Verstappen. With this new long-term commitment, Louis Vuitton is poised to redefine luxury in the racing world, introducing a unique blend of style and speed to the Formula 1 grid.
