Isabelle Berro-Amadeï Leads Monaco's Strategic Response to GRECO's Anti-Corruption Recommendations

On January 24, 2025, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco's Government Counsellor-Minister for External Relations and Cooperation and Interim Minister of State, presided over a strategic meeting to advance the implementation of the anti-corruption measures recommended by the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) during its 5th evaluation cycle. This evaluation specifically targets the transparency, integrity, and accountability of senior executive roles and law enforcement agencies in Monaco.

During the meeting, discussions focused on establishing a High-Level Steering Committee, which was proposed in a prior session on December 6, 2024. This committee is tasked with overseeing and coordinating the reform efforts, ensuring Monaco aligns with international governance standards. Additionally, the authorities have developed a detailed action plan for 2025, featuring a tailored scorecard to track progress, set specific measures considering Monaco's unique needs, and lay out a clear timeline for implementation.

This initiative underscores Monaco's ongoing commitment to bolstering trust and adherence to GRECO’s stringent anti-corruption directives, thereby continuously enhancing the principality’s administrative and institutional frameworks.
