Immersive Week has made a notable return to Monaco’s Maison du Numérique for its second year, emphasizing the pivotal role of artificial intelligence (AI) in modern society. Jointly orchestrated by the Monegasque government, Monaco Telecom, and the local town hall, the event underscores the Principality's commitment to digital inclusivity and bridging the digital divide. Pascal Rouison from the interministerial delegation for digital transformation highlighted AI as a fundamental element in shaping contemporary work, collaboration, and interaction practices.
The week-long agenda, concluding on November 15th, includes a variety of activities aimed at both the general public and professionals. The lineup features six conferences and a workshop accessible to all, with an additional seven specialized sessions for professionals held at key venues like the Rainier III auditorium and MonacoTech. These sessions are available via videoconference, broadening accessibility. Martin Péronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom, described the event as a proactive measure to equip the Monegasque community with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate rapid digital advancements.
Central to these efforts is the Maison du Numérique, established last year in the Jardins d’Apolline, which serves as a vital resource for enhancing digital literacy among residents. The facility offers interactive terminals and expert guidance to help individuals, from novices to tech enthusiasts, enhance their digital prowess. Deputy Mayor Charles Maricic emphasized the importance of supporting the community in adapting to new technologies, framing it as both essential and obligatory to ensure that Monaco remains a leader in digital innovation and inclusivity.
