The Grimaldi Forum Monaco has marked the onset of 2025 by celebrating its 25th anniversary and revealing a significant expansion in Mareterra, Monaco’s pioneering ecodistrict. This development highlights the Forum's integral role in enhancing the Principality's offerings in business tourism, culture, and sustainability initiatives. The addition of 6,000 m² of versatile spaces, inclusive of 2,000 m² of outdoor areas, is set to enhance its capacity to accommodate increasing demands for events and attract a more diverse client base. The expansion, prioritizing environmental sustainability, has achieved HQE certification, underscoring the venue’s commitment to eco-friendly practices.
Over the years since its inception in 2000, the Grimaldi Forum has become a key component of Monaco's economic and cultural framework, hosting over 100 prominent events annually and attracting upwards of 300,000 visitors. Events like UEFA meetings, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, and significant trade shows including Luxe Pack and Top Marques, have cemented its status as a prestigious venue. Furthermore, the Forum's emphasis on sustainability is evident through its ISO 14001 and ISO 20121 certifications, a 33 percent reduction in carbon footprint since 2019, and the redistribution of three tons of surplus food to charities in 2024.
The celebration of this dual milestone culminated in a grand event attended by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, along with nearly 1,000 notable guests. The evening featured a spectacular performance directed by Jean-Christophe Maillot of the Ballets de Monte-Carlo, which artistically narrated the Forum's journey. The festivities concluded with the unveiling of the new facilities and a vibrant Electro Winter Party, setting a promising tone for the future as the Grimaldi Forum continues to lead in innovation, sustainability, and cultural excellence in Monaco.
