Formula 1 Secures Monaco Grand Prix Until 2031 in Extended Partnership with ACM

Formula 1 has affirmed its commitment to the Monaco Grand Prix, extending its presence in the Principality until at least 2031 through a new agreement with the Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM). This extension, which builds on the current contract expiring in 2025, ensures that the prestigious race will continue to challenge drivers on the streets of Monte Carlo, where it has been a staple since 1955. The deal, endorsed by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, underscores the event's significance, combining tradition with an eye on sustainable practices.

Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, praised the extension, noting Monaco’s unique place in the sport and its allure as a trophy every driver covets. The event's commitment to sustainability was highlighted as part of Formula 1's broader goal to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030. The agreement promises innovations and ongoing enhancements to reduce environmental impacts and optimize the racing calendar, reflecting both parties’ dedication to a greener future.

Michel Boeri, President of the ACM, expressed his gratitude for the extended partnership, which he said reflects the global appeal of the Monaco Grand Prix. The race not only draws hundreds of thousands of spectators to Monaco but also attracts millions of viewers worldwide, thanks to its challenging circuit and the luxurious backdrop of Monte Carlo. The continuation of this event ensures that Monaco remains a key highlight in the Formula 1 season, celebrated for its rich history and contribution to the sport.
