Emmanuel-Philibert of Savoy to Open Italian-Themed 'Prince of Venice' Restaurant in Monaco

Emmanuel-Philibert of Savoy, a claimant to the Italian throne, is set to enrich Monaco's dining scene with the launch of his new restaurant, 'Prince of Venice'. Located at 39 Boulevard du Jardin Exotique, the establishment promises to deliver a slice of Italy to the Principality. The announcement, made via Instagram on January 5, marks a significant addition to his culinary ventures, which began with a food truck and a restaurant in Los Angeles in 2020.

Monaco's proximity to Italy and the personal ties Emmanuel-Philibert holds with the region add a layer of significance to the opening. The prince has a close friendship with HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, who played a pivotal role in his personal life by introducing him to his future wife, actress Clotilde Courau, and serving as best man at their wedding in Rome in 2003. This connection deepens the cultural and gastronomic bridge the new restaurant aims to establish between Monaco and Italy.

The 'Prince of Venice' will offer a menu highlighting authentic Italian cuisine, including specialties like pasta and the Roman dish "pinsa." While the exact date for the grand opening has yet to be announced, the restaurant is already generating excitement among locals and visitors alike. This venture not only expands Emmanuel-Philibert's gastronomic footprint but also strengthens the cultural ties between Monaco and Italy, promising an exquisite dining experience in the heart of the Mediterranean.
