The Art and Luxury Fair, newly introduced in Monaco under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert, has commenced at the Hotel Metropole in Monte Carlo, featuring an impressive array of arts, luxury, and lifestyle exhibits. The fair, which spans over two rooms with eleven meticulously curated stands, was inaugurated with a stunning operatic performance by Elim van Delft and words of gratitude from HRH Princess Margarita de Bourbon de Parme. Among the standout exhibitors are Dutch artists including sculptors Daphné du Barry, Sonja Vishnudart, and Sanne Bernhart, alongside renowned classic jewelers Spadafora and the iconic Royal Blue Collection of Delft Blue China.
Daphné du Barry, whose revered sculptures of Princess Grace are familiar to many in Monaco, expressed joy over the local recognition of her work, enhancing the fair's appeal to the Monegasque community. The event also features Atelier Iddi, specialists in the expert restoration of paintings, adding to the fair’s allure as a hub of refined craftsmanship and artistry. Annette Wijdom, the Dutch organizer of the fair, shared her enthusiasm about bringing this distinguished gathering to Monaco, hoping to establish it as an annual event akin to its counterpart in the Netherlands.
The fair not only showcases exceptional artworks but also offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to explore potential acquisitions or gifts, especially with the festive season approaching. Highlights include the original copies of Lady Fortuna, seen at the casino entrance, and intricate sculptures like the intertwined tango dancers by Sonja Vishnudart and L’Eve by Sanne Bernhart. Admission to the fair, set against the backdrop of the luxurious Hotel Metropole, is complimentary, promising a culturally enriching experience for all attendees.
