CFM Indosuez and Crédit Agricole CIB Donate 51,000 Euros to Support Monaco's Pediatric Cancer Research Initiative

CFM Indosuez Wealth Management, in collaboration with Crédit Agricole CIB, has donated over 51,000 euros to support vital research at the Monaco Scientific Center and the Flavien Foundation. This significant financial boost will aid the "Stem Cells and Brain Tumours" research team, led by Dr. Vincent Picco, in exploring innovative treatments for pediatric brain cancers. The donation stems from a solidarity finance initiative that garnered substantial support from clients keen on responsible and health-centric investments.

This philanthropic gesture highlights the synergy between CFM Indosuez and Crédit Agricole CIB in championing health-related causes, particularly those affecting vulnerable children. Mathieu Ferragut, CEO of CFM Indosuez, emphasized the aligned missions of the involved organizations in advancing medical research and supporting children's health. This contribution is also in line with the broader commitment of the Indosuez Group to support neurological research initiatives, including those at the Brain Institute in France.

The funds will facilitate pioneering research by Dr. Picco’s team, focusing on the unique aspects of pediatric brain cancers and their resemblance to embryonic cells. By collaborating with Dr. Eric Röttinger’s team from the Cancer and Aging Research Institute in Nice, the researchers will use the sea anemone Nematostella vectensis as a model due to its comparable genetics to humans. This innovative approach aims to uncover new, less toxic treatments by studying tumor development and gene deregulation during the early stages of nervous system development.
