Ballets de Monte-Carlo Announces Season with World Premieres and Global Tour

The Ballets de Monte-Carlo, under the esteemed artistic direction of Jean-Christophe Maillot, is poised to captivate audiences with an ambitious lineup for the upcoming season. The roster includes 15 performances, highlighted by three world premieres and the addition of new works to the company's acclaimed repertoire. The season will commence with the Monaco Dance Forum from December 11 to 18, 2024, featuring global dance luminaries such as Peeping Tom, Israel Galván, and Ohad Naharin, alongside pieces by Sharon Eyal and Jean-Christophe Maillot performed by the local company.

In addition to local performances, the Ballets de Monte-Carlo's 50 dancers will tour internationally, representing Monaco's cultural prestige in various countries including Europe, Mexico, China, and Cuba. The season will culminate at the Grimaldi Forum with Maillot’s rendition of "The Taming of the Shrew" from December 29, 2024, to January 4, 2025, set to music by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, showcasing the company's emerging talents.

Spring 2025 promises further artistic developments with three world premieres, including Marco Goecke’s "Transfigured Night." The season will draw to a close with the Princess Grace Academy’s annual Gala on June 20 and 21, 2025, at the Salle Garnier of the Monte-Carlo Opera, featuring performances by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo and new works by the Kor’sia Company and Slovak choreographer Lukáš Timulak. This season reaffirms the Ballets de Monte-Carlo's commitment to fostering a legacy of artistic innovation.
