AS Monaco has announced the signing of Dutch international defender Jordan Teze from PSV Eindhoven on a five-year contract, extending his stay with the club until the end of June 2029. The 24-year-old, who has been with PSV since he was seven, has evolved through the youth and professional ranks to become a pivotal player, featuring in 189 games, netting four goals, and providing 23 assists. His contributions were crucial in PSV clinching two Dutch Cups, three Dutch Super Cups, and last season's Eredivisie title.
Having started his professional career with a debut victory against PEC Zwolle in August 2018, Teze has developed into a key defensive figure. His international career includes representing the Netherlands at various youth levels before making his senior team debut in a Nations League match against Wales in June 2022. Furthermore, he played a significant role in PSV's recent Champions League campaign, particularly noted for his two assists in the preliminary rounds and scoring a decisive goal against Sevilla to propel his team to the round of 16.
Teze will wear the number four jersey at Monaco, bringing with him not just experience from his notable performances in international and club competitions, but also a robust defensive skill set aimed at bolstering Monaco's lineup. His arrival is expected to significantly enhance the team's defensive strategies and overall performance in the Ligue 1 contests ahead.
