The 54th edition of the Œcumenical Kermesse, a well-established philanthropic event in Monaco, is set to unfold on December 7 at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille. Under the patronage of HRH Princess Caroline, this event annually congregates various parishes and associations within the Principality, dedicated to bolstering charitable endeavors through joint efforts. The Kermesse has been a significant part of Monaco's cultural landscape since its inception in 1969, fostering community spirit and social responsibility.
Funds raised during the event are allocated to its founding members, including St. Nicolas, St. Vincent de Paul, the Greek Orthodox Church, the Eglise Réformée de Monaco, St. Paul’s Anglican Church, and the British Association of Monaco. These organizations utilize the proceeds to support various community-based and international charitable projects, enhancing the welfare of those in need both locally and globally.
Scheduled from 10:00 to 18:00, the Kermesse offers a plethora of activities suitable for all ages, including stalls featuring clothing, toys, books, household essentials, and festive decorations. This year, the event emphasizes environmental sustainability, promoting recycling and upcycling initiatives. Attendees are encouraged to partake in a vibrant tombola with a chance to win appealing prizes, rounding off a day dedicated to community service and ecological awareness.
