27th Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Fair Showcases Monaco's Culinary Excellence

The 27th edition of the Monte-Carlo Gastronomy Fair, a pivotal event for culinary aficionados, commenced this Friday at the Chapiteau de Fontvieille, continuing through to Monday, December 2, 2024. The fair, which spans over 2,500 square meters, hosts approximately 100 exhibitors presenting a selection of gourmet specialties including truffles, oysters, foie gras, and fine chocolates. This annual congregation underscores the Principality of Monaco's rich gastronomic heritage and last year drew in over 15,000 visitors, reaffirming its status as a significant culinary event in the Côte d’Azur.
The fair offers more than just a tasting opportunity; it includes culinary demonstrations by renowned chefs and the 6th Maestro Chef competition, a contest among eight skilled amateur chefs vying for a €2,000 prize. This competition, a highlight of the event, concludes with the grand finale on Sunday, December 1, where the winner will be crowned, spotlighting new talent in the gastronomic community.
For those planning to visit, the fair operates extended hours: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, until 8 p.m. on Sunday, and closes at 6 p.m. on Monday. Tickets are affordably priced at €5, with complimentary admission for children under 12. Additionally, free entry is available on Friday and Monday from noon to 2 p.m., and during the evening hours of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, making it an accessible and enticing event for everyone in Monaco to explore the exquisite world of flavors.
